Your Role

You will belong to a section responsible for maintenance resources for avionics, primarily in Gripen, but also other platforms. Maintenance occurs on most electronic devices in the aircraft and at various levels, from using subcontractors to troubleshooting and replacing individual components on circuit boards. This means that the maintenance resources have different complexities. The work thus spans several different technical areas such as analog, digital, software, microwave technology, and measurement technology.

Your tasks include development and support of maintenance resources for avionics devices, within both hardware and software. There is also work in projects that may involve tracking progress, scope, and finances, as well as documentation of completed work to meet the requirements of regulations such as EMAR, EASA, etc.

The work also involves support both internally and externally. Internally, support is provided to our avionics workshops where you assist with troubleshooting complex problems and contribute to improvement work. You also provide technical support to external customers, end-users, and other Saab units in need of support.

Your Profile

We believe that you who are applying have an academic degree as an engineer, or equivalent work experience in a similar position. You have worked with and have good knowledge of electronics.

To succeed in the role, you need to have a strong drive, a positive attitude, and a solution-oriented approach. You are a flexible and social person with a natural ability to communicate and collaborate. It is also required that you are structured and can document completed work, both for traceability related to aviation regulations and to be able to conclude tasks so they can be resumed later. Therefore, we are looking for someone who enjoys structuring, analyzing, and solving technical challenges while working carefully and methodically. We place great importance on your personal suitability for the role.

We value a technical interest. If you also have experience in programming in C++, it is an advantage. Desirable qualifications include experience in measurement technology, aircraft maintenance at the system or component level, work within the armed forces, and project management or participation in technical development projects.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
