Your Role

As a technical writer, you will create and maintain technical documents for our advanced products and customer projects. You will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, and other related materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Using XML to structure and organize technical information.
• Working with UpTime to ensure high availability and reliability in our systems.
• Implementing and maintaining S1000D standards for technical publication.
• Writing documentation in both Swedish and English.

You will be part of a team of three technical writers who collaborate cross-functionally with different departments to ensure that the documentation is accurate and up to date.

The position is based in Arboga or alternatively Solna.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of work experience as a technical writer and knowledge of XML and UpTime, as well as a good understanding of how these tools and systems are used in practice. Familiarity with S1000D standards and experience in implementing them is also desirable.

You have an analytical and meticulous work style and a strong ability to take initiative to drive your work forward in an independent, efficient, and structured manner. You thrive in an environment where you can work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals. A significant part of the role involves communication in both spoken and written form, so we expect you to have excellent writing and communication skills in both Swedish and English. You are also well-versed in Simplified Technical English and can adapt technical information to create clear and accessible texts for different target audiences.

Experience in the defense industry and knowledge of other relevant technical standards and tools will be considered an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may, in some cases, involve citizenship requirements.
