ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Mechanical Designer with our client, you will work on developing project-specific tools for safe handling and dismantling of components. You will become part of a dynamic team that grows and develops in harmony with some of the most advanced technical projects in the world. Your work will range from concept development and 3D modeling in CAD to construction, manufacturing documentation, and testing. Here, you will have the opportunity to follow your work from the idea stage to final installation. You will be part of a team of 18 people, where the work takes place in an international environment and the corporate language is English. You will closely collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and technicians from other departments.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize design solutions for project-specific tools
  • Create 3D simulations and detailed drawings in CAD, including ProEngineer/CREO
  • Design instructions for technicians who will use the tools and follow up with testing and adjustments
  • Evaluate and improve existing technical solutions to save time and prevent problems in the field
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
  • Has a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education
  • Has at least 2 years of experience working with mechanical design in CAD
  • Has experience in construction and design in steel
  • Has practical experience and understanding of mechanics, preferably from welding, CNC, workshop, or similar
  • Speaks and writes fluent English, as the language is used daily in the work

Knowledge of the Swedish language is a merit, as well as experience from steel construction, tool design, mining, or automotive industry.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed as a consultant through Friday. In the long term, there are opportunities to be directly employed by the client company.
