About the position

As a nursing assistant with us at Sofia Home Care, you will have a coordinated responsibility for support, service, and care interventions for our clients. In your daily work, you plan, implement, and follow up on the interventions. You work in a team with colleagues with different competencies, where we always have the individual needs and interests of the client at the center. We work with a rehabilitative approach and person-centered care where the client's needs, desires, and abilities guide the goals for rehabilitation.

For us, quality and good care are important, and as an employee, you are expected to contribute and participate in our development work. Together, we are responsible for ensuring that the work maintains good quality and that we follow the guidelines and decisions that accompany the assignment.

Examples of tasks:

• perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
• perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
• plan and develop the work independently and together with the workgroup
• establish and follow goal plans, routine descriptions, and action plans together with the client
• support the client in daily activities/leisure in a pedagogical manner
• collaborate with relatives and others in the client's network, such as nurses and occupational therapists
• document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
• establish and follow up on implementation plans
• have knowledge of and follow the organization's applicable laws, policies, and routines

About the workplace

With us, about 35 dedicated employees provide care and service to approximately 300 clients in the northern part of Örebro and the Norrcity area. We start from Sofiagatan 8 and bike home to our clients, sometimes in sunshine and sometimes in rain. But regardless of the weather, we make our way to the clients to provide them with the support they need and are entitled to. We are currently also an organization in transition. We have recently become a larger unit with more clients and more employees, and here we all work together to develop and improve our operations, so if you enjoy changing and developing work methods, you will thrive here!

The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive work, authority exercise in the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a nursing assistant with us, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet clients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. Taking responsibility for your tasks is a given for you. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with the client and other staff, as well as document in writing what the organization requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in the operational system, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• proof of protected professional title, or be covered by transitional regulations (permanently employed nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023)
• ability to cycle

Other information

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a nursing assistant. While waiting for your certificate, it is possible to be employed as a care assistant. However, if you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, you may continue to use the title.
