Our Operations

Within the section for acute pediatric care, we have the acute care unit 95 E, the children's emergency department, and the department for specialized pediatrics. In the acute care unit, which has 8 beds, we care for, treat, and investigate children aged 0-18 years who need a few days of hospital care. We primarily care for children with some form of infection, diabetes, and those needing cardiac monitoring, but we are always prepared to care for children from other sections as well. In the children's emergency department, we receive and treat children and adolescents with acute medical, orthopedic, and surgical illnesses and injuries aged 0-18 years. Our operations are open 24/7, and the number of patients and the intensity of work vary from day to day.

We who work within the section for acute pediatric care are a wonderful team that truly cares about our work. Our multidisciplinary team always has the sick child and their family at the center. We value a good collaborative climate, and in teamwork, we maintain an open atmosphere. Patient safety and professional treatment are natural parts of our daily work, and we place great focus on daily, joint training sessions for the section's staff groups. We are careful with joint reflection after shifts and feedback after difficult patient cases. Thanks to our various competencies and experiences, we develop and make each other even better in our work with our patients.

Your Mission

The tasks involve monitoring and some nursing work in the ward with pediatric patients who require tracheostomy. You will primarily work nights, where introduction and training in the practical and theoretical handling of tracheostomy will be provided on the unit.

We offer a part-time employment as a nursing assistant, care assistant, or auxiliary nurse as needed. The need starts immediately. We wish for you to work both weekdays and weekends.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with previous experience in nursing work, such as an assistant, caregiver, nursing assistant, or auxiliary nurse. For this assignment, extensive healthcare experience is not required, but some experience with children, nursing work, care, or previous experience with tracheostomy is advantageous.

If you are studying medicine or nursing and have experience working in healthcare, you are welcome to apply for this assignment. There is also the possibility of part-time employment focusing on being a nursing assistant in the unit as a whole. Here, you will be part of a care team and work in a team with a nurse, also being responsible for other patients.
