We are now developing our business for the next 100 years and are therefore looking for an experienced site manager for the civil engineering business area in Upplands Väsby.

About the position

As a site manager at Sh bygg, stone and construction, you will have a wide variety of projects. The contracts consist of both total contracts and execution contracts, several of which are partnering projects for both public and private clients. Regardless of the type of project, you are expected to lead the entire process and ensure the execution, economy, and profitability of the projects. You will have support from site supervisors, construction engineers, and project managers.

In the role of site manager, you have a central role and work with project management to achieve set goals in quality, environment, and economy, as well as with project follow-up. You will participate in planning and design meetings, as well as time and cost assessments of the project, and then report to the project manager.

Furthermore, you actively work to follow cost targets as continuous profitability and customer satisfaction are of utmost importance both to maintain the budget and to adhere to quality and environmental goals and applicable regulations. In our projects, you always work together with other engaged, knowledgeable, and cooperative colleagues who are assembled based on each individual's characteristics and skills.

Overall responsibilities:

• Planning and preparation of projects
• Leading and coaching your employees and ensuring a good working environment and workplace satisfaction
• Contact with customers and other partners
• Ensuring that the project team has the right information and knowledge required in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
• Purchasing of materials and subcontractors, etc.
• Quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety responsibility in projects
• Establishing and reporting project forecasts

You are calm and methodical and have the ability to handle many issues simultaneously. It is important that you have a strong commitment to the business and a drive that helps you achieve your goals. You have a structured and well-organized working method as well as good administrative skills. As a person, you are a team player, easily collaborate with a high level of self-leadership.

What can you do?

In the role of site manager, it is a requirement that you have good economic knowledge and understanding. Furthermore, you should have good technical expertise and several years of experience as a site manager in earthworks and civil engineering. To succeed in the position, you need to be self-starting and initiative-taking while having strategies and methods to complete ongoing projects. Since the daily work involves a lot of contact with various stakeholders, you have a high social competence and find it easy to collaborate. You convey a professional impression, easily build trust, and enjoy building long-term relationships. Leadership and working environment are two areas that you are particularly interested in.
