We are looking for a Construction Manager with a focus on Planning/Monitoring for the Swedish Transport Administration, primarily based in Solna.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The assignment involves carrying out inventory, construction management, preparation of documents for paving contracts and drainage contracts, as well as monitoring delivery quality on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration within the state road network in Stockholm, AB county. The commitment must be fulfilled in accordance with the established strategies/methods and quality, time, and cost goals set by the Swedish Transport Administration for each assignment. Within the concept of paving/drainage contracts, maintenance paving work, earthworks in the form of reinforcement measures, drainage, edge cutting, and culvert replacements are included. The work will largely be conducted in the field, but since the consultant will be present in the office, the Swedish Transport Administration's office in Solna will be the base location.Examples of Tasks

Collaboration with Contractors

• Establish good collaborative forms with contracted contractors.
• Assist the project manager in preparing agendas and invitations to meetings.
• Participate in start-up and construction meetings.
• Write and distribute minutes from the above meetings.

Preparations Before Construction Start

• Gain good knowledge of the projects through site visits and review of applicable contract documents.
• Report any errors and deficiencies to the project manager.
• Have sufficient knowledge of each project so that the consultant can represent the client during inspections with the contractor before construction starts.
• Write and distribute minutes from the inspections.

Represent the Project Manager during Implementation

• Maintain daily contact with the contractor, who primarily turns to the consultant with questions related to the current project.

Reporting to the Project Manager

• Daily inform the project manager about the project's progress, both technically and in terms of time.
• For night work, provide a short written report on each project after the work shift is completed.

Basis for Payments and Changes

• Assist the project manager with measurement protocols.
• Provide the project manager with documentation for any changes and additional work both before and during execution.

Quality, Work Environment, and Safety

• Participate in critical work and be responsible for site monitoring through random checks in ongoing operations.
• Follow up on quality, work environment, safety, and timelines.

Handling Disputes

• Assist the project manager with factual and objective advice as well as technical support in case of disputes.

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

• Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing• Experience from working in project groups where coordination has been important• Hold a valid B driver's license• Very good knowledge in road and paving planning• Good knowledge of AB 04, ABT 06.• Good knowledge of AMA (current version)• Good knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and guidelines in the relevant area • Good knowledge of the Swedish Transport Administration's rules for regulating paving work, bitumen-bound layers, and unbound layers• At least 5 years of experience as a site manager/foreman in paving in an urban environment. • Completed training to function as the Client's construction work environment coordinator, BAS-P, and BAS-U• Experience in drainage.• Completed the following courses: Courses at the Asphalt School.- Asphalt Paving – General Course, Asphalt School or equivalent- Tank Paving – Asphalt School or equivalent- Competence according to TDOK 2018:0371 APV, at least according to the requirements of step 3.

Desirable

• Work experience: More than 8 years of documented experience as a site manager/foreman in paving in an urban environment. • Good knowledge of PMSV4• Good knowledge of NVDB
