The Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI) is seeking an experienced and qualified HR generalist with a focus on contract management and compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring that our project activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, internal guidelines, and ethical principles.
The Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI), founded in 1938, is Sweden's leading center for research and information on foreign and security policy. Through research, analysis, conferences, and publications, we deepen the foreign policy conversation and contribute knowledge to the public debate.
With over 70 employees and two national knowledge centers – Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) and National Knowledge Centre on China (NKK) – UI continues to grow. We have recently moved into newly renovated premises in Amiralitetshuset on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm.
UI and SCEEUS have been tasked with establishing and operating a European think tank office in Kyiv, Ukraine. The project is funded by the EU and Sida and has secured funding for a three-year period starting in the autumn of 2025.
The purpose of the office is to bring together experts from Ukraine and the EU to produce policy-relevant analysis and recommendations that support Ukraine's EU integration – with a particular focus on the security policy context. The office in Kyiv is planned to have about 15 employees.
To support this initiative, we are now seeking administrative reinforcement for UI's office in Stockholm.
