Project Controller at the Traffic Administration

About the role

As a Project Controller with us, you will have the overall responsibility for leading the financial processes and providing support to project managers and project leaders with in-depth analyses and quality assurance of both internal and external reporting.

You will become part of our wonderful controller team, consisting of 8 controllers. Are you ready to take a key role and contribute to our successful work?

Some examples of tasks:

• Responsible for the development of project/program budgets, calculations, forecasts, and operational planning.
• Responsible for ongoing monitoring and analysis of financial outcomes and key figures, as well as leading the work with status reporting for projects/programs.
• Support projects/programs with applications and follow-up of payments related to funding from external parties.
• Responsible for the preparation of investment calculations and financial review of decision-making documents and larger contracts.
• Drive operational development related to financial and operational management and conduct training.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to:

Be analytical and proactive, with strong communication skills. You are happy to share your knowledge and expertise to achieve results and create collaboration with people at all levels in the organization. You work independently and have the ability to see the big picture in complex contexts, but also enjoy diving into details when needed.

Requirements:

• Academic degree in business administration or civil engineering with a focus on business administration.
• Good knowledge of asset accounting and component accounting of assets.
• Many years of experience in qualified controller work and thus good knowledge of business controlling (budget/forecast, planning, monitoring, and analysis) in a larger organization.
• Several years of experience in qualified controller work within community development, contracting, or complex investment projects (>50 million SEK/project).
• Very good knowledge of the Office suite with a particular emphasis on Excel.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Leadership experience (team lead, project manager, etc.).
• Experience from the public sector, politically governed organization.
• Experience and ability to drive development and improvement of processes and conduct training.
• Experience and good knowledge of using BI systems.
