About the role

As Strategic Sourcing Manager at Care of Sweden, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing for all of the company's production units. The role includes responsibility for ensuring cost efficiency, sustainability, and quality in our supplier portfolio, thereby strengthening our competitiveness.

Collaboration and the drive to succeed together with both suppliers and colleagues is central to the role. Therefore, it is important that you have experience in developing relationships and leading sourcing efforts together with other functions.

You do not have personnel responsibility, but you are a natural informal leader who successfully involves others and achieves the right results, even in challenging situations. You are a constructive and curious person who wants to understand the company's strategy, customers, and product portfolio.

You work in a dynamic environment where you report to the Supply Chain Manager and collaborate closely with the quality department, product development department, warehouse and logistics, as well as other functions within the organization.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for describing and developing the sourcing strategy in line with the company's goals and management priorities.
• Responsible for procurement, supplier agreements, and ensuring that the supplier base is cost-effective and able to deliver in line with the company's needs.
• Responsible for proactive supplier management of environmental, sustainability, and quality work with the help of specialist expertise in quality and sustainability.
• Responsible for continuous dialogue with suppliers and for driving business development to increase the company's competitiveness.
• Responsible for actively contributing to the optimization of the value chain from supplier to production and to the end customer.
• Responsible for actively contributing to correct decisions for make-or-buy or other significant changes in the value chain.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field or industrial economics
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, including procurement and contract formulation.
• Solid experience in sourcing for mechanical products, including tool-based manufacturing. Experience in electronics, plastics, or textiles is a plus.
• Experience in active sourcing in product development projects and working in an organization with both central and local roles, e.g., at different production sites.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Experience with ISO 13485 (medical technology) is a plus.
• Experience in driving cross-functional projects and managing product change processes through the value chain.
