Unika Katrineforsliden is an LSS residence located in scenic surroundings in Härryda municipality. The residence is aimed at adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or neuropsychiatric diagnoses, according to LSS person group 1.

The facility consists of six fully equipped apartments, all designed to provide safety, structure, and the opportunity for an independent life with support. There are also common areas and staff facilities. The residence is staffed around the clock, with awake night staff.

The nature-close location offers good opportunities for walks, outdoor activities, and tranquility, while being close to community services and public transport. We work based on low-arousal responses, clear pedagogical approaches, and individualized support, always focusing on the user's self-determination and quality of life.

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in daily life. You will assist users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses to create safety and predictability in users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

    • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
    • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
    • Experience in care and support work.

Preferred qualifications include

  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
  • Experience working with complex support needs.

Employment conditions

Employment type: Hourly employment 

Working hours: As needed – according to agreement and organizational needs.

Working times: Day, evening, and weekend shifts.

About the recruitment process

Before any employment, a criminal record extract along with valid photo ID must be presented.
