Within the social administration, the organization responsible for functional support provides assistance and services according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). LSS is a rights-based law that guarantees individuals with extensive and permanent disabilities good living conditions, the help they need in daily life, and the ability to influence the support and services they receive.

The assistance administration in Arboga municipality is organizationally under the functional support services within the social administration.

We are now looking for a temporary assistance officer for our unit.

The assistance unit consists of six officers responsible for assistance administration under the Social Services Act, LSS, and social psychiatry. We work with needs assessments according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus). Our documentation system is Life Care.

Job Responsibilities

As an officer with us, you are part of an important and meaningful job. You investigate and decide on interventions. The work involves dialogue with the individuals seeking assistance and/or their relatives. The job also includes follow-up and reassessment of previously decided interventions. The work requires many contacts with other authorities and organizations. Collaboration occurs with implementers and other partners, both internal and external.

In the officer group, we share a common responsibility to develop the organization, work on quality issues, maintain good collaboration, contribute to a positive work environment, and ensure we have a good user perspective. To fulfill the assignment, the ability to gather information, compile, analyze, and evaluate different courses of action is required to make quality-assured assessments and decisions.

You need to have good empathetic skills. You are flexible and innovative, allowing you to find good individual solutions. You should be able to structure and document your work easily and have good communication skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or who the employer assesses has an equivalent higher education. You have good knowledge of current legislation and experience in administration under SoL.

As a person, you are calm and methodical. You find it easy to collaborate and work with others and contribute to a positive work environment. You are accustomed to working and documenting using a computer as a working tool and can express yourself easily in both speech and writing.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.

Conditions

Full-time. Temporary position until 2025-05-31 with a possible extension. Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
