Social Worker for the Individual and Family Administration
At our workplace, you will find a trust-based environment with strong collegial support. We take pride in making a difference for children and young people every day with a high level of legal certainty.
The Children and Youth department consists of three equally sized units, all working towards the same goal. Each unit has a unit manager, three team leaders, a senior case officer, and about twenty social workers and assistant social workers. We work on a unit basis, but when needed, we collaborate across unit boundaries. We offer the opportunity for remote work two days a week.
In our newly built Social Services building right by the station area, all the authority units in the Individual and Family Administration are located. The proximity facilitates cooperation to ensure that our clients receive the best possible help.

Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for investigating the needs of children and young people aged 0-18. You will also make decisions on interventions and follow up to ensure they receive proper care and have their rights met. We value utilizing your knowledge and skills based on our broad mission, allowing for some specialization in your role, both in terms of target group and where in the processing you prefer to be. To succeed in our mission, you need to collaborate with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
We work with a cohesive approach so that families have contact with the same social worker as much as possible. We develop our work based on societal developments. Currently, we focus on three target groups: children and young people at risk of criminality, children and young people with disabilities and psychiatric issues, and children and young people in emergency and foster care.
You will have close leadership with several team leaders in each unit supporting you in your daily work. In addition to the team leaders, there are also managers, specialists, and other support functions. There is always someone to turn to when needed. When you join us, you will receive a thorough introduction tailored to your needs. Everyone receives external supervision once a month. You can rely on clear guidelines but also have the opportunity to influence. All to ensure that you can go home at the end of the day feeling that you have truly contributed to our important mission.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker or has a relevant education and has been validated previously. We welcome both newcomers to the profession and those with previous experience. Knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act is essential for your work, and your expertise in these areas is important. Documentation is a natural part of everyday life, so you need to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. As travel is part of the job, it is beneficial if you have a valid driver's license.
You are flexible and see opportunities in change. We also believe that you are humble and have the ability to be clear and adapt your communication. It is important to us that you are interested in social work and go to work because you want to and dare to make a difference for vulnerable people in society.
