Our Operations

Psychiatry Ward 1 is an acute ward with 24/7 care that is part of the psychosis care chain within the field of psychiatry at Akademiska sjukhuset. We care for individuals with psychotic disorders and conduct psychosis assessments. We have a close collaboration with outpatient care and municipalities throughout the region. We are constantly developing our collaboration with other psychiatric specialties in the hospital. We work health-promoting and have created a workplace with a cohesive team of diverse backgrounds and competencies. We have implemented a person-centered approach with interesting areas of responsibility and development opportunities. We have regular nursing supervision for the nursing group, an ongoing wellness project, and a “Journal Club” led by a specialist nurse. We also participate in research on recovery, where patient education occurs in groups and individually.

We are looking for someone who, together with other staff members, wants to drive and develop care in Psychiatry Ward 1. Your Mission

As a nurse in psychiatric inpatient care, you have an important role with a focus on nursing. You work closely with patients and collaborate with psychiatric outpatient care, other healthcare providers/community agencies, and relatives. You are responsible for documentation and administration of medications and have a leadership role in the team. Guiding students and new staff members is also a natural part of your duties.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. Previous experience in psychosis care is an advantage.

We offer a permanent position with a start date according to agreement. A probationary period may apply. Prior to employment, extracts from the suspicion and criminal records will be obtained.
