Do you want to be part of our new team based at one of our newly opened group homes?

As staff at our residence, you will be part of an engaged team, working to implement decisions within LSS and providing tenants with support and care in all everyday situations.

You will focus on the individual's needs, desires, and wishes, utilizing the resources and abilities each individual possesses.

We work flexibly with adjustable schedules based on the needs of the users and the organization. The group home may include on-call duties in your schedule, and we work on a scheduled basis every other weekend on a 37-hour contract.

Responsibilities

As a support assistant, it is important to motivate the individual to engage in activities, which becomes a key part of your daily work. Assisting with daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, and leisure activities is an integral part of your role, and you will do this in a motivating and pedagogical manner. Low-affect responses are a central concept in your assignment. Since various aids are used for different types of transfers, it is essential that you understand and are knowledgeable about any methods related to transfer aids and transfer techniques.

You will be committed to working systematically with clear pedagogical approaches and social documentation. Collaboration with various professional categories and the network surrounding the individual is crucial. At the workplace, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and personal hygiene is included.

Qualifications

You should have knowledge and experience working with individuals with disabilities in residential settings and/or day services. Experience and knowledge of working with clear pedagogical approaches, challenging behaviors, and alternative communication (AAC), such as sign language, pictures, and social stories, are also advantageous.

Training related to disabilities, such as AAC, low-affect responses, and programs like Inprint, Widget, and others, is desirable.

The job requires good interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate, openness to change, a reflective approach, and working towards agreed goals.

As a person, you should be clear in your body language, have good physical and mental condition, and be solution-oriented. The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Computer skills are important for pedagogical AAC and documentation.

Formal Requirements

• Approved secondary education from the Child & Leisure program, Health and Care program with a focus on disabilities, or trained support assistant.
• Possession of a B driver's license.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
