The Social Administration Sydväst is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the Sydväst urban area, approximately 120,000 residents live, stretching from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago. The administration's mission is to ensure that children, young people, and adults can live safe and independent lives, and that children and young people have a rich leisure time. The administration also works to support homeless individuals towards permanent housing. Through collaboration with civil society, local businesses, and other actors, we aim to improve public health and safety in the area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your mission as a social worker is to support and guide our clients aged 30-66 towards self-sufficiency, a role that provides you with a meaningful and rewarding workday. You will be an important part of the clients' journey towards self-sufficiency. By working closely with clients in each phase of their development, you ensure they receive the tools and support they need to succeed. The path to self-sufficiency looks different for everyone, and the task is to work with the client in the phase they are in. This may involve SFI studies, participating in Employment Agency activities, Competence Center, collaboration with healthcare, or contact with FINSAM.

Through our system GÖREL, you will receive support in managing financial assistance effectively and legally.

Rehab 1 is one of four units within financial assistance in the administration. We primarily work with individuals who have mental or physical health issues. At our workplace, you will not only have an experienced team supporting you in your work, but you will also have access to regular method supervision and training led by our lead social worker. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Since the tasks involve a lot of documentation and communication, you need to express yourself well in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have experience in public authority work and experience with the target group of individuals with dependency issues.

To handle the role of social worker, you need to take responsibility for your own and the common tasks with the best interests of the organization/users in focus. You take your responsibilities seriously, are committed to completing what you start, and ensure that the work is done correctly.

Furthermore, it is important that you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You are friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings. You have an open and positive attitude, as you have the individual's needs as the basis for your actions.
