We are looking for a team player who is passionate about technology with a strong interest in building contacts both internally and externally. You are flexible, structured, interested in continuous learning, and have the ability to work on multiple projects and interfaces simultaneously. We value a good business approach as our interfaces are based on collaboration and good relationships.

To be considered for the position, you should at least meet the following requirements:

• have a university degree in engineering (Nuclear Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or similar)
• express yourself fluently in Swedish and English in both speech and writing
• have an interest in nuclear power

If you also meet any of the following, it is an extra plus for the role:

• have experience in modeling (Matlab or Java)
• have a B driver's license
• have summer job experience in the process industry
• have studied courses in nuclear power

About the position

As a consultant in nuclear safety at AFRY, you will initially work on assignments for their client Forsmark or another nuclear facility. A typical assignment is to update and/or review safety reports, instructions, or related documentation for nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities. Since many tasks are carried out due to new regulations and requirements from the Radiation Safety Authority, requirement interpretation is often included in the work, mainly related to reactor safety and radiation protection. This may involve performing dose or dispersion calculations using modeling tools. Other examples of assignments may include developing and/or reviewing various types of safety analyses and coordinating/conducting feasibility studies and technical investigations of various kinds.

Collaboration and mentorship are important keywords for us where we help each other and develop together. Since their clients are located in various places in Sweden, travel is a natural part of the role.

The section you will belong to consists of 20 employees, most of whom are stationed at the office in Solna.
