Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Nynäshamn Municipality

Job Responsibilities

As an emergency preparedness coordinator, you will work broadly with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the municipality's preparedness capabilities. You will project manage within civil defense and support the operations in their work with continuity and preparedness planning. You are also responsible for coordinating the municipality's insurance agreements.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing projects within civil defense, a role that evolves with the changing world.

About the Workplace

The Municipal Executive Office's mission is to lead, coordinate, and follow up on the municipality's operations. We ensure that the municipality functions efficiently and that residents receive the service they need, while also supporting elected officials and administrations.

As an emergency preparedness coordinator, you will have a varied and meaningful job with great societal value. You will be part of the IT and Security unit, where you report to the unit manager. We collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, creating a dynamic and stimulating work environment.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with relevant education in one or more of the following areas:

• relevant university education, such as in social sciences or technology, preferably with a focus on crisis preparedness
• bachelor's program in crisis and conflict management, community planning with a focus on security
• university or vocational education focusing on risk and security management

You should also have experience in crisis preparedness, continuity planning, business development, or project management, preferably within the public sector.

A driver's license is necessary as the job involves travel for work.
