We are looking for a monitoring/alarm operator for an authority within the Swedish power system.

This is a consulting assignment.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The authority is responsible for ensuring that the electricity transmission system is safe, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. It has approximately 1400 employees, most of whom work at the headquarters in Stockholm. The authority intends to strengthen staffing in its own monitoring center. The assignments for the monitoring center are steadily increasing, and more resources are needed, as well as some tasks in the center being streamlined.

The monitoring center's task is to oversee the authority's offices and facilities through alarms, video surveillance, and manual monitoring with the help of security personnel. It should support the authority's need for protection and security, using both technical security systems and manual supervision for this purpose.

The assignment is staffed by both personnel from the authority and security contractors around the clock. The assignment involves handling everything from incoming technical alarms, monitoring via camera systems, to leading the security contractor in its daily work. Managing supplier contacts for various actions. In the event of incidents, coordination and support to other functions occur with decision-making support in the form of situational reports, among other things. Administration and information management regarding the authority's facilities and offices in systems for intrusion detection and access control administration in security systems for access restriction (access control systems) are carried out in collaboration with access administrators.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive, register, and manage incoming cases, fault reports, and alarms, and if necessary, send out the right expertise for troubleshooting
• Monitoring and patrolling via camera systems
• Lead and support the security provider in daily work
• Manage and administer orders for security assignments
• Ensure the operational function regarding access control management
• Administer part of the access applications.
• Handle the issuance of access cards

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

High school diploma preferably from the Social Science program with a focus on Behavioral Science: Rescue and Security. At least 5 years of work experience in a security, alarm, or control center. At least 5 years of work experience in security and protection. At least 5 years of work experience with the most common alarm/access/camera monitoring systems on the market and MS Office products. At least 2 years of work experience in handling technical support systems for alarms, access, and camera surveillance. At least 2 years of work experience working in radio/telecommunication systems or equivalent systems/equipment.

Desirable

At least 1 year of work experience in the administration of security systems at protected objects. At least 5 years of work experience in critical societal operations. At least 5 years of work experience in a government authority, municipality, or region/county.
