The position is located at the security section of the Headquarters staff in Stockholm.

The section is responsible for internal security at the Swedish Armed Forces' largest organizational unit, the Headquarters, as well as for the personal security of the highest leaders of the Armed Forces. The section coordinates security protection within the Stockholm Garrison. The Headquarters is under development, and this also applies to the security section, which is in an expansive period where both tasks and a new work team are being developed. Main Responsibilities

The security section is organized into three details, and the position is placed at the Detail for information security and physical security (DIF). The detail handles matters related to physical security, information security, IT security, and signal protection. As a specialist in physical security and surveillance, you will be the right hand of the detail manager, responsible for the functional management of personnel surveillance and local technical protection by being the security section's representative regarding building technical projects and related protective measures. The tasks include:

  • Functionally manage the personnel surveillance at the Headquarters
  • Support the unit's activities in the work with physical security
  • Support in the methodological development of both physical security and personnel surveillance in collaboration with technical surveillance
  • Support the unit's activities with qualified training support
  • Ensure compliance with regulations
  • Conduct security training in the area, both internally within the Headquarters and externally towards suppliers
  • Participate in security protection inspections
  • Develop and write internal regulations in the area

The tasks may change and develop over time as the operations at the section evolve. You will have close cooperation with the security manager and the security organization at other leadership levels in the Headquarters.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of current, relevant, and documented work experience along with current education in the area of physical security from the public sector or larger companies/organizations
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Driving license B

MERITS

  • Current and relevant work experience in personnel surveillance and technical surveillance systems
  • Certified security officer or other civilian education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Current and relevant work experience in conducting training and inspections of security protection
  • Service in the military security service
  • Good knowledge of the Armed Forces' organization and its regulations for security service
  • Documented experience of working in ISUS
  • Work experience from larger projects as a project participant/project manager

Employment type: Permanent employment, 6 months probationary period applies (for those not employed within the Armed Forces).

Information about the recruiting unit:

In the Headquarters, there is the Supreme Commander and the Director General. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. The Headquarters consists from 2023-01-01 of the defense staff, operations management, military intelligence and security service, as well as the Headquarters' staff department and independent supervisory units.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. Security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be placed in wartime. The nature of this varies depending on the type of position.
