The security department is currently working on consolidating responsibility and expertise for the national employee protection and the protection of the highest police leadership into a separate organizational unit. The purpose of the work is to strengthen, coordinate, and align the internal personnel protection work at the police authority.
We are now continuing the important work of complementing our team and expanding with more employees to work on protecting the highest leadership. If you are knowledgeable in one or more of our priority areas of expertise, do not hesitate to apply for this position.
We are now looking for several personal protection coordinators based in Stockholm.
Responsibilities
As a personal protection coordinator, you contribute to the security around the highest police leadership. The work primarily consists of preventing and deterring a protected person from being subjected to violence or threats of violence. If the protected person is still subjected to a physical attack or violation, the personal protection coordinator should be able to handle the situation.
In addition to personal protection tasks, your duties may include training, business development, or working on other tasks belonging to the organizational unit.
The work as a personal protection coordinator is varied, where you will find yourself in unique and changing environments. The close collaboration with protected persons, other authorities, and organizations both in Sweden and sometimes internationally places high demands on your social skills.
Regarding personal qualities, it is important that you can take great personal responsibility and have good judgment when it comes to assessing situations. Continuous further education gives you the opportunity to develop and deepen your specialist knowledge.
Travel is required for the position.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Swedish police examination in accordance with the Police Regulations (2014:1104)
- At least 5 years of experience in police work
- Completed and approved personal protection training organized by the police authority or the security police
- Current and operational experience in personal protection work
- Approved in the Police's national driver training, step 3
- Approved competence test in shooting
- Basic competence in police tactics in special events
- B driver's license
- C driver's license, alternatively dispensation to drive heavy vehiclesGood knowledge of English, both spoken and written
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international personal protection work
- Medical training
- Educator in police conflict management, POLKON or PNF
- Basic training in reinforcement weapons
- Relevant instructor training for the assignment, for example in shooting, tactics, or medical areas
- Other language skills besides Swedish and English
- Other professional experience that the employer may consider relevant to the position
Personal Qualities
The tasks require that you thrive in work situations that are often challenging and require clear priorities. Therefore, you need to be responsible and solution-oriented with good stress tolerance and the ability to work under time pressure with many issues in parallel.
The assignment requires that you have good mental maturity, strong integrity, and a very high level of confidentiality and security awareness. The role will involve broad collaboration and many points of contact, which means you need to have a good ability to cooperate with others, good social skills, and a well-developed communicative ability.
We see that you, as a person, support the police's values and have a naturally positive attitude towards daily physical activity. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and your personal qualities.
