Job Opening: Correctional Officer at the National Transport Unit in Stockholm

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding and is now looking for more employees for its unit in Stockholm, Solna. As a Correctional Officer at the National Transport Unit, you will work on transporting incarcerated individuals between different locations, such as detention centers, prisons, and court hearings. You will meet people with diverse backgrounds and need to have good communication skills and a humane perspective. The working hours vary between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, and you are expected to work approximately every fourth weekend.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring duties at court hearings and hospital visits
Transporting incarcerated individuals for the Prison and Probation Service and other authorities
Interacting calmly with the individuals being transported

Qualifications:

Work experience, including seasonal work or part-time employment
Good communication skills in Swedish
Driver's license (B) and driving experience

It is advantageous if you have experience in corrections, security work, or social care. You will also need to undergo a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act to be considered for the position.
