Our operations

The area of hematology and oncology is located in the new care building, entrance 100/101 at Dag Hammarskjölds väg. The operation has modern facilities with single rooms for patients, new information and communication technology systems, and separate professional and public flows. The new building has been equipped with the latest medical equipment, such as Sweden's first MR-linac that combines linear accelerator with image diagnostics. The new construction gives us new opportunities to co-locate the area of hematology and oncology together with the area of imaging and functional medical center, which provides new collaboration opportunities with great potential patient benefit.

Your mission

The duties primarily involve departmental work with admissions, discharges, and daily care of our patients. The department has a relatively high patient turnover as we have both acute and planned admissions. Emergency activities will be included in the work when we assess that you are ready for this. Towards the end of the service period, it may also be relevant to be placed in our oncology outpatient clinic and our investigation department. The service is qualifying for a possible future specialist training position with us.

Your qualifications

You are primarily a licensed physician at the time of employment. Secondarily, you are a graduated physician with solid experience in departmental work. Previous work in oncology is a merit.

You always put the patient first and have the ability to communicate your clinical assessments and decisions. If you are also humble and responsible, the Academic Hospital may be the right challenge for you. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
