Area of Specialization: Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care
We in anesthesia, surgery, and intensive care take care of patients and families facing crucial moments. For some, we are their last hope. For others, we create an opportunity for a better life. Whether you work in the sterile processing department, in one of our airborne units, in the intensive care unit, or in surgery, you play a crucial role in critical moments. Welcome with your application to become a part of our team.
Our Operations
The orthopedic day surgery unit is in an expansion phase, where the number of operating rooms will increase.
Those of us working in orthopedic day surgery include operating room nurses, anesthesia nurses, assistant nurses, orthopedic surgeons, and anesthesiologists. We perform day surgery operations in hand, fracture, shoulder/knee, and foot surgery. To carry out today's surgical program, we strive for good operation flows. Our patients are well prepared for this type of care, and they go home a few hours after the operation. We are a small unit that works closely together with the patient in focus. Our department is divided into inpatient care and a day surgery section with its own pre-/postoperative unit closely connected to the operating rooms.
Your Mission
As a specialist nurse in our day surgery unit, you become part of a skilled team where we support and help each other in the operating room work.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed nurse with a specialist nurse degree specializing in operating room care.
Your Skills
We want you to always focus on the patient and be responsible and motivated in your work. Your thoughts and ideas are important pieces for us in the ongoing development work. Therefore, we see that you are a person who likes to contribute with your knowledge, ideas, and enthusiasm. We see it as natural that you are motivated by change and improvement work. We also see that you are flexible, structured, and have a good ability to prioritize in your daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We Offer
We offer a full-time permanent position during daytime, with entry according to agreement.
If you use public transportation, there is an opportunity for a net deduction for an annual ticket at UL. You can also exchange salary for a company car or for pension. We have our own wellness facility, Friskhuset, where all employees within Region Uppsala are welcome to exercise in the gym, participate in group training sessions, book massages and personal trainers. There is also a wide range of courses and lectures, physiotherapy, ergonomics, and moving training.
