The National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also carries out closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues, all over the country. At SiS, your work becomes an exciting challenge. Job Description

Do you want to be part of making a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant or treatment educator at SiS is a meaningful challenge.

SiS youth home Ryds brunn consists of three departments with space for 21 school-age boys; an MBB department (reception and needs assessment), an open and a locked treatment department, and a primary school.

The goal of your mission is to motivate our young people to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you ensure that the routines in the department work as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and security of our young people and clients, and are responsible for the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining the safety of the institution according to our routines, and documentation is an essential part of your work. You work to build secure relationships and contribute to providing our young people/clients with the security they need to break habitual behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a schedule day - evening and weekend.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can keep calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

• Completed high school education
• Experience working with people in a vulnerable life situation, e.g., in psychiatry, HVB operations, or healthcare and social care.
• B driver's license
• Good Swedish in speech and writing
