Högåsen is a special accommodation located in the central area of Alvesta. It is a residence where we focus on the care recipient and meet the individual, their relatives, and each other in a respectful manner. Högåsen has 78 apartments divided into 5 departments, including a dementia department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who is passionate about care work and goes the extra mile for our care recipients.

The role of a care assistant at Högåsen means you will work with one of the best and most enriching tasks there is - making everyday life meaningful for our care recipients. Your tasks will involve providing support and assistance to our care recipients based on their individual needs and wishes, in collaboration with other staff members.

As care staff at Högåsen, you will perform standard tasks within care and support work. We work days, evenings, and weekends. The job includes maintaining good communication with relatives and fostering good cooperation with colleagues and other professionals, which is highly valued. The work also involves documenting according to social services guidelines via computer and handling delegated health and medical care tasks. Together, we strive to provide our care recipients with a meaningful day based on their own wishes; here, you make a difference for our care recipients every day.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, a completed education from the care and support program or another equivalent education is required. We expect you to have a strong commitment to working with elderly individuals. Previous experience in elder care and dementia care is advantageous.

Your working style is characterized by calmness, flexibility, engagement, and good collaboration skills. We also believe that you, as an applicant, have a strong intrinsic motivation, are solution-oriented, and have a good ability to work independently. You have a positive attitude and focus on solutions rather than problems. You treat both colleagues and care recipients with respect and are good at building relationships. You need to be attentive and flexible to meet the varying needs of our care recipients.

Documenting in the Life Care computer system is an important part of daily work, and we consider it advantageous if you have previous experience working with documentation in that system. Proficiency in Swedish, both written and spoken, is required for the job.
