What we can offer you

As a summer substitute in Markaryd Municipality within LSS, you are offered to work between weeks 25–33. We offer you employment at 100%, which means you work an average of between 36.20 and 40 hours a week, depending on which workplace and how the working hours are scheduled. You have the opportunity to work either the entire period or part of the summer; those who can work throughout the summer will be prioritized as it is important for our users to have continuity and to meet the same staff as much as possible.

• Vattnadalen - a leisure and short-term home for children and young people with disabilities in Markaryd.
• Group homes - Kvarngatan, Hansens väg, and Claras väg in Markaryd.
• Björkbacken - group home within psychiatry in Markaryd.
• Kyrkogatan - service housing in Markaryd.
• Group homes - Kylhultsvägen and Mjärydsvägen in Strömsnäsbruk.

In an LSS residence, you follow the users' daily lives, including care, maintaining their home, and leisure activities. You work both day and night in the residence and can choose between Strömsnäsbruk and Markaryd. We have 2 residences in Strömsnäs and 5 residences in Markaryd.

At Vattnadalen short-term home, children and young people with disabilities either come for the day or stay for a few days. The activities are adapted and vary between care and leisure activities. Vattnadalen is located in Markaryd.

What does your workday look like?

In the care sector, we work to help people with disabilities live as independently as possible. The work involves, among other things, providing support in daily life to these individuals and assisting with daily routines such as activities, personal care, and similar tasks. In the municipality's operations, there are group homes, personal assistance, and short-term stays for children and young people with disabilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is at least 18 years old. It is an advantage if you have education and/or experience in care and assistance. To be an attractive summer substitute with us, you need to be social, empathetic, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team. When working with children and young people, you must be able to present a valid extract from the criminal record.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

You should have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
