Polygon Sweden AB is part of the Polygon Group with a total of 8000 employees spread across 17 countries. In Sweden, we are the market leader in moisture and water damage control. In addition, we also offer services for temporary climate control and moisture investigations. The company is nationwide and currently has approximately 330 employees deployed at around 40 service depots covering the country from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north, with an annual turnover of approximately 350 million.

Polygon Sweden AB is in need of reinforcement in its environmental team, and your tasks as a consultant will be tailored to your skills and experience. Our unit is still under development, so there are plenty of opportunities to influence how we work and the services we offer. Currently, we provide support in the form of environmental management, audits, and on-site personnel for environmental management in projects from program to operation, as well as environmental certifications.

Our project portfolio includes many large and complex projects, both in terms of time and size. Environmental management in projects can occur in both new and renovation projects and involves you being the environmental manager or coordinator for clients or contractors. Tasks that may arise include developing environmental programs or plans, monitoring environmental requirements during planning, reviewing documents against environmental requirements such as material requirements, developing procedures for how environmental requirements should be monitored during planning/production/operation, supporting materials towards material databases like the Building Material Assessment, as well as conducting environmental inspections and checking issues such as chemical and waste management, vehicle and fuel requirements, moisture risks, handling of contaminated land, or county water management. It is important that you are clear, prioritize the most important issues first, and constantly think practically and feasibly. In your introduction, you will work alongside an experienced consultant and receive support in your first independent projects if needed.

In our environmental team, we value working together, so there should always be a colleague to ask. Since moisture issues often border on the environment, we have the privilege of always being able to seek help from our moisture experts. In larger projects, it is common for us to work together with a moisture expert or a moisture safety officer.

Working as a consultant at Polygon Sweden AB often involves being out at the customer's site and less time in the office. Much depends on what suits our customers at the time, your life situation, and where in the construction process your project will be. Working as an environmental consultant is a free and varied job with great opportunities for further education and development.

We are looking for someone who is already an experienced and senior environmental consultant and who always puts the customer first. In the role of senior consultant, you need to have the ability to take initiative and be flexible. To thrive, you must be a problemsolver who enjoys challenges and is driven by helping/collaborating with colleagues and customers. Since our work usually requires verifying documentation, it is important that documentation is something you see as a given and not a burdensome extra. For Polygon, it is important that what is stated in the documentation reflects a reality that we should help support and solve. We start in reality to finish it in the documentation. One of Polygon's absolute goals is to be at the forefront of environmental and sustainability issues in Sweden, so it is essential that you continuously want to develop and learn more. We believe that you have several years of experience in the industry regarding Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety issues from the contractor, client, or consultant side. It is an advantage if you have documented experience in Miljöbyggnad, Svanen, BREEAM, or LEED certification. Travel is required for the position.

Desired background and qualifications:

Environmental coordinator in the construction industry via KYH or Civil Engineer in Sustainable Development at University
Person-certified Environmental Building Coordinator and certified at least 3 projects
Accreditation for BREEAM NC as Assessor or AP and certified at least 2 projects
Work experience as an environmental consultant for at least 5 years
Experience working with the Building Material Assessment and/or Healthy Homes
Meritorious with competence regarding the EU Taxonomy or conducting climate calculations like Oneklick
