Kommunals unemployment insurance fund is looking for a reconsideration officer at the head office in Stockholm

Do you have a sharp analytical ability and enjoy interpreting and applying laws and regulations? Are you structured and efficient, while also being empathetic and member-focused? Then you might be the one we are looking for in the role of a reconsideration officer.

About the role

As a reconsideration officer, you will handle reconsideration cases according to the Unemployment Insurance Act (ALF) and the Unemployment Insurance Fund Act (LAK). You also handle and prepare appeals for review in administrative court. You work analytically, make assessments, and handle cases in a structured and efficient manner so that our members receive their decisions on time. You also have a quality assurance role, which includes providing feedback to colleagues in the handling of cases.

Together with your team and the rest of the organization, you are responsible for actively developing the process so that work can be done with high efficiency without compromising on quality.

The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period starting by agreement. The position is located at the unemployment insurance fund's head office in Stockholm.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work in a structured and efficient manner, without getting stuck in details. You have a holistic view and are used to handling many things at the same time, so you can quickly shift focus and be flexible. You have a very good legal understanding and analytical ability to carefully search for, assess, and interpret legal sources.

We are looking for someone who is driven to independently develop and learn new things, both for your own sake and for the organization's development. You have a coaching approach and are good at providing feedback.

You will have contacts with colleagues within the unemployment insurance fund as well as with members and authorities, so you should be a communicative person with good teamwork skills. At Kommunals a-kassa, we always focus on the member, and you are expected to be professional, credible, empathetic, and engaged.

We are looking for someone who has:

experience working as a case officer or reconsideration officer at an unemployment insurance fund or authority
higher education, preferably with a legal focus
experience in interpreting and applying laws and regulations
very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We work with plain language, which means you need to be able to convert complex legal terms into clear and easily understandable texts for our members
good computer skills and knowledge of Excel and the Office suite

It is advantageous if you have:

experience in reconsideration and appeal processes
