We are looking for a youth coordinator and new colleague to join our team at the Labor Market Unit!

As a youth coordinator, you will be part of the Social Services Department's labor market unit. The unit's mission is to support individuals towards self-sufficiency through work, education, or the appropriate welfare system. The unit consists of labor market coordinators, job coordinators, and supervisors. There are also other projects linked to the unit's work.

Responsibilities

As a youth coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the municipal activity responsibility. This responsibility involves collaboration with the schools that our young people attend/have attended. The target group is young people between 16-20 years old. You will focus on motivating and reaching out to the target group to establish action plans with goals and sub-goals, focusing on re-entry into studies/internships or work. You will often need to involve parents and guardians to provide the necessary support together. The tasks also include documenting in the operational system and reporting statistics to SCB.

In Ljungby, there is an ongoing youth project called SKRUVAS that you will also be part of. SKRUVAS is aimed at young people aged 13-24 who are neither working nor studying (NEET) and who need coordinated individual support in transitions between school stages and from school to working life. Together with your team colleagues, you will be responsible for conducting activities for the target group.

Your mission will be to, together with colleagues and using the meeting place as a starting point, offer individual solutions for the young people. The meeting place offers school education two days a week provided by teachers, as well as group activities and individual interventions on other days. The individual plans made should lead to the young people completing or expanding their ongoing studies, starting to study, or obtaining a job or other occupation.

Qualifications

You have a behavioral or social science university education, or another university education that we consider relevant. Alternatively, you may have acquired qualifying knowledge through work experience. Experience working with the Supported Employment (SE)/Supported Education methods is a merit.

To thrive in this role, you should have a strong drive and love working with young people. You are a very relationship-oriented person and take initiative in social settings. You have very good cooperation skills with young people, colleagues, other stakeholders, as well as parents/guardians. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A driver's license (B) and good computer skills are required.
