Åbyängskolan

Åbyängskolan is an F-6 school located in Gamleby with approximately 250 students. Surrounding the school, we have a beautiful outdoor environment, and we emphasize being outdoors and engaging in physical activities, as well as incorporating "Brain-breaks" into our daily routine. Åbyängskolan's goal is to have well-educated and committed staff with shared responsibility for all students. In all teams, the staff aims to see and communicate with each child and intervene in cases of bullying or conflicts. We have long breaks with planned activities and many adults supervising the children.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work with us to develop the teaching in the school and after-school care!

We are now looking for a teacher in after-school care/after-school educator for Åbyängskolan.

Your responsibilities

You will work in the operation and be responsible for planning the educational work in after-school care. As an after-school educator, you will meet children in their leisure time and support their development and learning, which is also connected to their learning in school. Learning throughout the children's entire day. Your role includes planning, follow-up, and documentation of the work. An important task is to create inspiring and challenging learning environments for each individual student during their time in after-school care.

Together with your colleagues, you will have responsibility for the content and work to promote each child's development and learning. Your responsibility includes building good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in after-school care or an after-school educator.

To succeed and thrive with us, you need to have good collaboration skills, be attentive, and easily understand other people's perspectives. You should be secure in yourself, stable, and have good self-awareness. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in the operation.

You have a good understanding of how children absorb knowledge and the different conditions for learning. You are also proactive and can initiate activities in the operation.
