Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Blackeberg School is located in a picturesque area of Bromma, close to water, nature, and good transportation links.
The school has about 400 students in grades F-6. We have a high staff-to-student ratio.
We work purposefully to continuously improve our operations with a focus on the pedagogical work in the classroom and the development of after-school programs. We participate in both larger and smaller teaching-related research-based projects and have close collaboration within our teams.
We expect all employees to be involved and contribute positive energy and competence in both teaching and conferences, as well as other meetings with students, parents, and colleagues.
Your role
We are looking for an engaged, secure, and clear teacher for our special education group where approximately 20 students are enrolled. The group is age-mixed and includes both younger and older students. Teaching is adapted to each student's individual needs and conditions.
You will work closely with three other teachers and three childcare workers in a cohesive team where we collectively take responsibility for the students' entire school day. Teaching is conducted in small groups in a calm, structured, and relationship-building learning environment where clarity, predictability, and security are central.
With us, there is present leadership and strong collaboration within both the work team and the student health team. Together, we work to ensure that every student receives the support they need, feels secure, and has the opportunity to succeed – both academically and socially.
We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference – every day.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Requirements for the position:
- At least three years of documented experience working as a teacher in grades F–6.
- Teaching certification with authorization to teach in grades 1–6 (f-3 or 4-6).
- Documented experience working in a special education group or with students in need of special support.
- Mentorship and contact with guardians.
We particularly value the following qualities:
- Self-directed: You take initiative and work independently to create a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Solution-focused: You have the ability to quickly identify and implement effective strategies to meet students' individual needs.
- Persistent: You are patient and committed, with a long-term vision for each student's development and success.
Working in our special education group requires a teacher who is flexible, empathetic, and has good collaboration skills.
Recruitment will begin and proceed continuously throughout the recruitment process.
