The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school programs, high schools, and adult education.

The school's staff is divided into three teams: F-3, 4-6, and after-school. We have about 330 students and around 45 staff members. The school is located in the heart of Valsta, and together with Eddaskolan in the area, we have a close collaboration. At Sagaskolan, you will meet dedicated colleagues who constantly work with students in focus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special education teacher at Sagaskolan, you will work closely with the "teacher team" to increase goal fulfillment at the school, primarily in the subjects of Swedish as a second language and mathematics. You will work with students individually, in small groups, or in the classroom. It also includes supporting teachers regarding pedagogical assessments and establishing action plans as well as mapping reading and writing difficulties.

You are a natural part of the school's student health team, which consists of the principal, school nurse, special education teacher, counselor, and social pedagogue. We have a special team and a social team with the ambition to differentiate as much as possible between learning difficulties and social challenges.

The student health team works closely with the management to have a shared understanding of the needs of students, teachers, and the school so that the right interventions can be implemented at an early stage. The student health service and all staff at the school strive to work both preventively and promotively.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified special education teacher or has other equivalent special pedagogical competence. You are a qualified teacher and have a teaching license. We would like you to have experience in teaching, be an experienced IT user, and have good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked with students who have a different mother tongue than Swedish and see integration as an exciting challenge.

As a person, you are secure, stable, have good self-awareness, and a positive attitude. You have good collaboration skills, believe in relational leadership, and can adapt your teaching to different students' needs. You are communicative and resolve conflicts constructively.
