About the Position

We warmly welcome you to apply for a position at our fantastic schools Vätö and Drottningdal. The schools are located just north of Norrtälje in a wonderful environment, with Drottningdal having about 110 students and Vätö 34 students aged F-6. This is a position for you who are a qualified special educator or special teacher with special pedagogical knowledge and a desire to influence students' opportunities to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a special educator/special teacher in our F-6 schools. In the role of special educator, you will participate in the unit's student health team and work health-promoting and supportive based on needs analyses. The main task is to systematically work with students in need of support (organizational level, group level, individual level) who are at risk of not reaching the goals and to work with quality assurance of documentation processes for these students. The assignment includes designing action programs, as well as supporting educators in pedagogical mappings. You are expected to have an active role in analyses related to the mapping material in preschool class and reading, writing, and math guarantees, and with responsible educators design measures to help all students reach the highest level possible. The position also includes mentoring teaching staff regarding compensatory aids and study techniques, conducting classroom observations, and preparing documentation for applications for operational support. Qualifications

You have a degree as a special educator or special teacher with qualifications for elementary school grades F-6. You have good knowledge of adaptations, special support, and the school's governing documents as well as LGR-22. You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. You find it easy to build good relationships and collaborate with students, guardians, colleagues, the school's student health team, and school management. You have a professional and positive attitude and can see challenges as opportunities. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

About the Workplace

Drottningdal has about 100 students and Vätö about 40 students aged F-6. The schools are located north of Norrtälje city in a nice environment that invites pedagogical activities in interaction with the local environment. Working at a smaller school in the countryside creates a fantastic atmosphere where you can make a difference for both students and staff. The schools are part of a principal area together with Norrgärdsskolan's elementary school and Adapted elementary school, which is why some collaboration between the schools will take place to learn from each other and develop towards a modern school for all.
