Your role

We are looking for an engaged textile craft teacher who wants to help drive the school forward. You will teach textile craft in grades 4-9.

You will be part of a work team and a subject team where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of the collegial learning to create new and deepened knowledge. You will be a mentor in a class in the upper secondary school together with another colleague.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who has high expectations for students' achievement, good pedagogical insight, and is clear and engaged to bring out the best in students. You who apply:

• are a certified teacher with qualifications in the subject of craft for grades 4-9 or will complete your teacher training by the summer of 2025.
• have experience working with textile craft.
• have experience with digital methods as a reinforcement in teaching.
• master Swedish well in speech and writing.

It is advantageous to have multiple qualifications in your certification.

You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs and structure and adapt your teaching to create a safe and adequate learning environment. You involve the student in planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and establish good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role effectively.
