Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist in primary care, you will primarily come into contact with patients with disabilities in the musculoskeletal system, but there are also cases involving psychosomatic, neurological, and respiratory diseases. The work involves independently conducting functional assessments, performing treatments, providing advice and support on exercise, as well as leading group activities. You must be able to work both individually and in a team with other staff categories. The tasks also include supervising students and quality and development work in daily operations.

The 11 regionally operated healthcare centers in Västmanland are run as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. We have a common name, Närvården Västmanland, and we work together to provide our patients with the best primary care in the county. Närvården Herrgärdet is a well-established clinic in the center of Västerås. We are responsible for approximately 12,900 listed patients, and our clinic includes medical and district nurse receptions, maternal and child health care, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services, as well as a counselor. Since all professional categories at the healthcare center are located in the same building, we can offer our patients professional care in one place.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed physiotherapist with a bachelor's degree and authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. You preferably have several years of experience in primary care and experience with osteoarthritis school. It is advantageous if you have relevant further education on disabilities in the musculoskeletal system such as OMT 1, MDT A+B, training on health and illness, psychosomatics, preventive work, behavioral medicine, or communication techniques. You are proficient in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and you preferably have experience with the Cosmic journal system.

Terms of Employment

A part-time position at 50%, from January 20, 2025, to June 8, 2025. Entry by agreement.
