IES Uppsala is looking for a special education teacher with a focus on language, reading, and writing development for work at the upper secondary level. As a special education teacher, you will support students in need of assistance, both in groups and individually. You will be part of the school's student health team and work closely with the principal, vice principals, educators, and guardians.

We are looking for a special education teacher with a strong commitment to students' learning, health, and development. The role includes working towards a well-functioning student health system to support students' development towards educational goals.

The main responsibilities include:

• Working directly with students in small groups
• Supporting with interventions in regular classroom teaching
• Mapping the needs of groups and individual students
• Coordinating the work with transitions for students who are starting and leaving the school
• Participating in the school's systematic quality work

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with a Swedish teaching license and additional training as a special education teacher. Previous experience as a teacher and special education teacher is an advantage, as well as experience working with students in special education groups.

IES Uppsala opened in the autumn of 2011 with grades 4-9 and is located in the picturesque and expanding Ulltuna. The school is bilingual and follows the Swedish curriculum.
