About the client

is a cheerful and curious man in his 30s diagnosed with low-level infantile autism. He enjoys long walks, listening to music, and social activities such as visiting cafes/restaurants. Due to his diagnosis, he has communication difficulties. He understands spoken language but does not have his own speech. He communicates through sounds and physical contact.

Job Description

As an assistant, you are expected to accompany the client in whatever he wishes to do and guide him appropriately when needed. The assistant is expected to activate and stimulate based on the client’s needs and abilities. You need to be attentive, creative, and skilled at reading the client’s signals.

As an assistant, you provide support to the client in various situations, including meals, hygiene during showering and toilet visits, and assistance with dressing and undressing.

We work in a team, so it is important to be flexible and cooperative.

Your background

We prefer that you have previous experience working as a personal assistant, alternatively other experience in care and support, or are studying in the field. Experience working with children or adults with autism is an advantage. Personal suitability is highly valued. You must be at least 18 years old.

About the employment:

The position is approximately 60%, with immediate start. We are also looking for substitutes as needed, who can assist during the summer when regular staff are on leave. Shifts are scheduled as 24-hour shifts with double staffing around the clock with sleeping on-call duty.
