Support for Life

We work to provide support and guidance to individuals in vulnerable situations, aiming to create safety and promote independence. Our operations are characterized by high confidentiality and security, which places great demands on safety planning and routines.

We are looking for a committed and responsible contact person for protective placements in the areas of exiting criminality, domestic violence, and honor-related violence. The role involves providing support and guidance to individuals in vulnerable situations, with the aim of creating safety and promoting independence. As a contact person, you are an important part of our clients' journey towards a more stable and secure everyday life. You will work closely with the client, the responsible coordinator, and other relevant actors.

Responsibilities

In your role as a contact person, you will:

• Provide practical support to the client in contact with authorities and other agencies, such as assistance with applications for financial support, school, employment services, social services, and similar.
• Be involved in and support the client in creating a meaningful leisure time with e.g. hobbies and activities.
• Document all relevant events and contacts, such as meetings, phone calls, and messages, to ensure clear and continuous follow-up.
• Notice and respond to any behavioral changes or signs of unstable mental health, such as mental illness or relapse.
• Conduct drug tests according to instructions from the coordinator.
• Support the client in daily living skills (ADL), which may include helping with budgeting, household chores, cleaning, and laundry.
• Offer motivational conversations to support the client in the change process and provide assistance in managing various challenges, as well as motivating the client to accept various treatment measures such as KSL and relapse prevention.
• Participate in regular check-ins with the coordinator to ensure a continuous and updated care and support plan.

Qualifications

• Completed or ongoing education as a treatment assistant, social worker, special educator, or equivalent education.
• At least 2 years of experience working with vulnerable target groups, preferably in the fields of addiction, social services, or psychiatry.
• Experience working with criminality or domestic violence and honor-related violence is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a structured manner and document continuously.
• Good computer skills and experience working with various IT systems.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a motivating and supportive manner.
• Ability to handle complex and sometimes demanding situations calmly and professionally.
• A valid driver's license (B) is required. Access to a personal vehicle is preferred.
