The Individual and Family Administration is responsible for interventions according to SoL and LSS, which include individual and family care and care for people with disabilities. Municipal citizens in need of social services can receive advice, support, and assistance. In most cases, our assistance and interventions are provided after an individual assessment as part of our authority's exercise. We aim for the interventions we provide to lead to independence.

The operations focus on interventions for children, youth, and their parents, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, individuals with disabilities needing support in their daily lives, individuals in need of financial support, labor market measures, rehabilitation, and integration.

The Individual and Family Administration aims to offer advice, support, and assistance to municipal citizens of all ages who need social services. In most cases, our assistance and interventions are provided after an individual assessment as part of our authority's exercise. We aim for the interventions we provide to lead to independence and self-sufficiency. The administration is led by a head of administration together with the managers of the two operations, IFO (Individual and Family Care) and Functional Support.

IFO is divided into two branches: IFO Children and Family and IFO Adult. Children and youth work to ensure that the living conditions of children and young people are as good as possible. Both children and parents can turn to us and apply for various forms of help and support interventions. IFO Adult works with domestic violence, harmful use and addiction, homelessness, and eviction prevention, providing advice and support to citizens who cannot manage their own financial support. To strengthen IFO's operations in the fight against homelessness and housing-related issues, we will create a housing social team in 2025. We are now looking for a proactive residential assistant who, together with a social worker, will work with housing social support at IFO. As part of our team, you will play an important role in the development of the team's function and interventions. The work will be done in close collaboration with other units within IFO, and external collaboration will also take place with actors outside the organization, such as landlords and creditors.

When you join us as a new employee, we offer a comprehensive introduction program to help you get acquainted with your professional role and as a new employee in Nybro Municipality. During your introduction, you will also receive regular individual supervision from the first social worker and manager, and the workgroup has supervision twice a week, as well as separate management time for other issues not related to client work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the housing social team, you will work with support interventions to prevent homelessness and assist individuals in maintaining their housing at risk of homelessness or, in cases of confirmed homelessness, support them to find their own housing. The assignment also includes housing procurement and preparation for housing for newly arrived individuals. Social services' interventions should promote independence and are based on "help for self-help"; together with the individual, a plan for implementation will be developed based on their needs, conditions, and goals. As a residential assistant, you will provide essential support to help individuals achieve independence. Common tasks include support conversations/social support related to housing, assistance in searching for housing, and information on how to manage a residence, etc.

The job responsibilities also include several practical tasks such as preparing and furnishing apartments, purchasing furniture/inventory for apartments, inspecting and supervising apartments. Together, we will continue to develop the team's mission and future interventions regarding housing social support in 2025 and 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS

Residential Assistant. It is advantageous if you have a degree in post-secondary education focused on social/pedagogical treatment work. You may also have a degree from a university with a corresponding focus, such as a degree in social work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
