Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

Humana is now seeking several assistants who want to work as summer substitutes for our clients in Kalmar and surrounding areas.

During the recruitment process, we will learn more about you and who you are, and if hired, we will inform you more about the clients' needs, schedules, and working hours.

All newly hired personal assistants will receive an introduction to the profession. We will conduct physical interviews at Humana's office in Kalmar.

We are now looking for you who meet the following:

• want to work with clients living in Kalmar, Smedby, Trekanten, Nybro, or Bergkvara

• have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• have good physical condition and can assist with transfers

• have the ability to work day, evening, and night shifts on weekdays and weekends

• can complete a training in delegation

• are available to work during the holiday period in June, July, and August

It is also advantageous if you:

• have experience in similar work or other work in care/support

• have experience with autism and/or low-arousal approaches

• have a B driver's license and a car

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is a fixed-term substitute during the holiday period in June, July, and August. The position involves working during the day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. 24-hour shifts.

Hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is according to collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a possible employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
