Are you passionate about anesthetic nursing and development? Then you are welcome to join our friendly and positive team at the surgical unit in Trelleborg! We are looking for an anesthetic nurse who wants to work at a hospital that is planning for the future.

The surgical unit is part of the planned operations area (VO), which includes subacute and elective surgical activities, where orthopedic surgery for adults and children constitutes the majority of the assignments. We also perform ear, dental, jaw, and neck surgery. We are the largest provider in Sweden for children with ear problems. The surgical operations consist of nine operating rooms and are conducted during the day, Monday to Friday, with on-call duty around the clock for acute conditions and any necessary transports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome you who are looking for a varied and stimulating job where you will have a significant role in collaboration with your colleagues in the surgical team!

As an anesthetic nurse, you will primarily work with pre- and perioperative care, medical technology, and nursing documentation. You will be part of the hospital's alarm chain where the staff assesses and treats acutely ill patients. A large part of our patients are children, some of whom have special needs. Our unit is characterized by high patient flows that require planning, foresight, and the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions. We have close cooperation with the staff in the recovery department and the care department to optimize our joint care of the patient. We are very attentive to our patients and constantly work with their needs in focus.

For us, it is important that you as an employee want to grow and develop together with the organization; therefore, we offer continuous further education and competence enhancement in the field. The department follows the competence description for anesthetic nurses in Sweden, developed by the National Association for Anesthesia. If you are interested in specialist assignments such as the Swedish Perioperative Register (SPOR), medical technical equipment (MTA), pediatric anesthesia, CPR, or any of the surgical areas included in our assignment, there is also an opportunity to acquire this knowledge during your service.

This position includes on-call duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, specialist training in anesthetic nursing is required. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement.

You are a person who values work characterized by personal responsibility but also has a good ability to collaborate with other personnel categories within the unit and external actors. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the organization together with colleagues and the nearest manager and contribute to a positive work environment. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and have the ability to manage and prioritize when the pace is high.
