Faculty of Law at Uppsala University
The Faculty of Law at Uppsala University is the oldest law faculty in the Nordic countries, established when the university was founded in 1477.
Here, there is a well-developed and respected undergraduate and doctoral education. The faculty houses the Department of Law, where approximately 200 people are employed.
Job Responsibilities
As a teaching assistant, you will assist course leaders and course administrators in the administrative work directed towards the law program's students. You will have contact with practicing lawyers both within and outside the faculty. Main responsibilities include the preparation and distribution of course materials, scheduling, student communication, course evaluation, attendance reporting, administration of the university's web-based communication system, and exam administration.
Qualifications
As an applicant, you must be an active student in the law program at Uppsala University. You should have a good understanding of the structure and pedagogical ideas of the law program. Good computer skills, strong administrative abilities, and proficiency in Swedish and English are required. Since the job involves daily contact with both students and staff, it is important that you have a high sense of service and responsibility, as well as good organizational skills. You should have good initiative and planning abilities, as well as a willingness and ability to collaborate with various staff groups. Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5. Only those who are admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education may be employed as a teaching assistant (HF Chapter 5 § 10).
Please note that it is not a requirement to have completed an advanced course to apply for this position.

About the Position
The position is temporary according to HF Chapter 5 § 12. The extent is 25%. Start date is 2025-05-19 or by agreement. Place of employment: Uppsala
