About the Position
The Air Staff's finance department is looking for a driven and meticulous economist who wants to be part of our team and contribute to streamlining and developing our personnel economic processes. The position is based in Uppsala and offers a stimulating and varied work environment where you will have the opportunity to work closely with operational issues. You will become an important part of an engaged team of 16 people distributed across 4 sections.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for ongoing personnel economic reports and analyses
- Responsible for personnel economics, budgeting, and monitoring of salary costs
- Develop methods in the area of personnel economics together with superior, lateral, and subordinate units
- Follow up and analyze financial results to provide decision support to management
- Participate in various projects and initiatives related to personnel economics
- Support departments in matters concerning salaries, benefits, and personnel-related costs
- Develop and improve processes related to personnel budgeting and cost control
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure correct and efficient handling of personnel economic issues
- Support with financial administration and administration within the department
- Assist and coordinate activities and prepare meetings
- Support the FS Pers function by describing the financial consequences of various choices within HR and personnel areas
- Document management and other recurring administration.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Academic degree in economics or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent ability to express oneself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.
- Driver's license (B).

DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' operational management and experience of FM economic work
- Experience of working with SAP/PRIO.

Employment type: Permanent position. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

The primary and largest task of the Air Staff is to support the Air Force Chief's management of all squadrons and schools in the Air Force at all levels of the conflict scale. The Air Staff develops, plans, implements, and evaluates orders and directives issued by the Air Force Chief. The Air Staff consists of approximately 350 employees. The Air Force organizes and trains air, base, and command units and is tasked with monitoring and protecting Sweden's airspace. This is a mission that continues around the clock, year-round, to ensure Sweden's integrity. Within the Air Force, approximately 5,100 employees, both civilian and military, work.
