AI Strategist

About the Position
Your goal is to develop and streamline the Red Cross by driving increased use of AI. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing strategies and plans for the use of AI within the Red Cross.
- Identifying potential use cases for AI in the various operations of the Swedish Red Cross through innovative approaches, acting as the extended arm of the operations in requirements and implementation of AI.
- Enabling AI by conducting relevant risk assessments and securing the conditions for AI use, owning the management of AI risk including compliance related to AI.
- Acting as product owner for the portfolio of standalone AI solutions, setting the roadmap, initiating and driving the development and procurement of new AI services, and being responsible for their management over time.
- Supporting product owners in IT regarding AI in existing platforms.
- Driving broad use of AI within the organization, offering advice, educating, and serving as support to others on AI issues.
- Monitoring and contributing to the development of AI in civil society and the humanitarian sector based on the experiences and needs of the Swedish Red Cross, as well as gathering inspiration, knowledge, methods, and tools.
We Are Looking For
- Someone who uses generative AI every day and thinks that automation, machine learning, and language models are the best things ever, but you also understand the risks associated with the technology.
- Someone who enjoys navigating the intersection of technology and operations, perhaps you have worked as a product owner or in digital innovation and are used to thinking in terms of needs and benefits, use cases, and digital solutions.
- Someone who likely has a degree in data or systems science and has experience with Microsoft Azure, Copilot, and Power Automate, and can probably read a bit of Python for practical purposes.
- Someone who expresses themselves well in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form.
Key qualities: curious, analytical and meticulous, strategic and ambitious, inspires and builds trustful relationships, is pedagogical, helpful, and generous.
Additional Information
The position is located in the unit for Innovation, AI, and Digital Transformation and is a permanent full-time position with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible.
We offer a flexible work environment with a 36.5-hour workweek and the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week. The intended location is at our office in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, but we also have offices in Malmö, Gothenburg, and Umeå. Some travel, primarily within Sweden, is included in the role.
