As a software developer in the IT department, you will maintain and develop current system solutions, as well as support the development of new solutions. Here, you have the opportunity to work with unique systems that truly matter for the future and society. New ideas and thinking are welcomed, and you will have daily close collaboration with your agile delivery team as well as users in the core business. The team consists of experienced developers, testers, and requirements analysts who work broadly and together from requirements understanding, design, and implementation to test automation and automated deployments to achieve the set goals.
The Development and Management units, located in the IT department of the Swedish Transport Agency, are responsible for supporting departments in areas such as Case Management, Driver's Licenses, Vehicle Information, Roads, and Railways, among others.
We are now looking for software developers primarily placed in the area of Case Management. You may also work with other areas within the units.

You will
- work with system development in management and new development projects
- use technologies such as C#, .Net, WebApi, Blazor, and SQL, etc.
- work with automated deployments, integrations, and be part of an agile delivery team.
You must have
- a degree in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
- several years of current work experience in system development in C# .Net
- work experience with MS SQL
- experience working in an agile delivery team
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you also have
- experience in system development of the case management system W3D3 or other mission-critical case management systems in the public sector
- experience with .Net Core
- experience in test automation
- experience with WCF and/or Web-API
- experience with MVC and/or Blazor
- experience with message-oriented solutions such as N-ServiceBus and/or RabbitMQ
- experience with automated build and release management in Azure DevOps
- experience with Git-based version control.

The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro or Kista. If placed in a location other than Örebro, regular travel to Örebro will occur, as certain tasks must be performed physically at the office in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About the Swedish Transport Agency
Number of employees: Approximately 2000.
Areas of operation: The Swedish Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, issue permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.
Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro. The headquarters is located in Norrköping.

About the IT department
The IT department consists of five units with associated sections. We are about 300 employees.
We support all departments within the Swedish Transport Agency both strategically and operationally in IT matters. We work with architecture, system development, management, and operation of IT systems as well as infrastructure.
