At Vindex, we are looking for an experienced and driven Business Intelligence Specialist with strong technical skills for an exciting interim assignment with our client. In this role, you will hold an important position where you lead the development of BI solutions that enable data-driven decisions across the organization.

The assignment lasts for approximately 12 months and starts in mid-May.

About the role

As a BI Specialist, you will be responsible for driving digital development in financial analysis and reporting. You will work closely with the business to make data available that can support decision-making at various levels in the organization. Your work will be central to ensuring that data is used strategically to create insights and drive business improvements. The role involves close collaboration with finance, controlling, and IT – where you act as a bridge between the business needs and technical solutions. You will also participate in initiatives to standardize reporting structures, streamline data deliveries, and support the organization in becoming more data-driven.

Location: Stockholm

Main responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of BI solutions, primarily using Microsoft's BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).
• Responsible for data modeling and design of ETL processes.
• Collaborate with the business to ensure that the right data is available for decision-making.
• Work in agile teams to deliver solutions in line with business needs.
• Participate in the further development and optimization of data warehouses and BI platforms.
• Establish a centralized strategy for BI tools, develop reports, and train internal users.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and specifications.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations that provide increased insight into the organization's key metrics.
• Participate in data quality work and contribute to improvements in master data.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in BI development, including work with Microsoft's BI tools (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI).
• Solid skills in data modeling, data analysis, and SQL.
• Relevant academic degree in computer science, information systems, finance, or similar.
• Experience with data warehouse solutions, ETL processes, and integrations.
• Experience with agile working methods.
• Good understanding of financial processes, financial reporting, and key metrics.
• Preferred experience from the public sector as well as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics.
• Preferred knowledge of data governance or information architecture.
