Your Mission

As a signals intelligence analyst focusing on communication intelligence (KOS) on an airborne platform, you are the first link in an exciting production chain. You make the initial assessment of the material that will later be presented as finished reports to our clients. Part of your work involves finding, identifying, locating, and reporting foreign signals.

During flight missions, you are part of a team that works closely together to solve the common task. The work onboard is challenging and at times intense. The time between flight missions, you are in the office working independently with analysis. Physical training is a natural part of your work as flight service requires you to complete annual physical tests according to the Armed Forces' basic requirements. Your position begins with internal training and practical service totaling 8-9 months outside the regular place of employment in Linköping. In your role, you will be a key person in building and developing a new capability at your workplace.

The role involves business trips, especially during your initial employment period. You may also be required to work at other locations in Sweden. Therefore, it is important that you are flexible and prepared to travel and work in different places. You should also be ready to spend time away from home and your regular workplace.

You Can

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Good knowledge of the Russian language at a level equivalent to at least 60 higher education credits (equivalent to high school level and at least one semester of university studies).
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English with a good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing.
  • Good physical ability and trains regularly.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge and interest in developments in our environment. This facilitates your work with us.
  • Driving license B.

We consider it a merit if you have:

  • Advanced knowledge of the Russian language.
  • Experience working within the Armed Forces or defense-related civil authority.
  • Experience from state/public service.
  • Knowledge in IT, telecommunications, or radio communication.
  • Knowledge of the Belarusian language.

More Information

The workplace is located in Linköping. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a successful security screening with a background check. The security screening will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
