Unit for Multilingualism

The Unit for Multilingualism is a central unit for native language teaching and study guidance in the native language from a 6-19 year perspective: in preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, and adapted secondary school. The unit's mission includes coordinating and organizing activities in both municipal and independent schools.

Our administrative offices are located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, while the educational activities take place at the municipality's schools.

Your Mission

Your tasks include teaching primary school students and possibly also secondary school students in the subject of native language according to applicable governing documents. There are several different curricula in native language Finnish. Finnish is a national minority language and is therefore offered to students with or without basic knowledge of the language. Teaching takes place at the municipality's schools.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has Finnish as their native language and good knowledge of Swedish. You should have a teaching degree or equivalent pedagogical education at the university level that the employer assesses as relevant for the position and very good computer skills. Having a B driver's license and a personal car is an advantage.

As a person, you are communicative and have an easy time listening and adapting your way of communicating. You have good pedagogical skills and an understanding of students' different conditions for acquiring knowledge. Additionally, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
