Vendelsömalmsskolan is a K-9 school with over 630 students and 90 competent staff members. We strive to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and to ensure that every student is given opportunities to develop both academically and socially based on their individual circumstances. We are now looking for a licensed teacher with a focus on after-school care and sports who can lead an after-school department. Seize the opportunity to be at the forefront of developing the teaching and recreational activities in our after-school care.

Qualifications

You should be:

• A licensed primary school teacher with a focus on after-school care, including a license in sports and health.
• Licensure in additional subjects is an advantage.

You should have:

• Solid experience in teaching after-school care.
• Experience in leading student groups.
• Special educational competence, including knowledge of NPF, is an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone with a salutogenic approach, which means you see opportunities instead of difficulties. Furthermore, you are committed to creating meaningful, understandable, and manageable teaching/activities for your students in after-school care.

To succeed in this important and enjoyable role, you need to be able to juggle multiple tasks, which requires you to be both flexible and stable. The ability to build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues is the foundation for successful teaching, good recreational activities, and effective collaboration with various parties.

Responsibilities

• Planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching in after-school care both individually and in groups.
• Planning, implementation, and evaluation of sports teaching in grade 1 and in learning studios.
• Leading an after-school department.
• Leading organized recreational activities.
• School collaboration with teachers during parts of the school day.
• Standard supervision tasks throughout the student's entire school day.
• Collaboration with students and their guardians.

You who apply for this after-school teacher position should be able to work 100% and have opening and closing duties occasionally during the week, meaning you should be able to have a vacation position. Your role includes overall responsibility for an after-school department.
